LECTURE
Intro to After Effects
Adobe After Effects is a 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing.
Lecturer: Mr. Fauzi
- All the layers need to be arrange and rename accordingly so that it will be organize and easy to be animated in AE
- After Effects files does not embed its media, it links to it.

PRACTICAL
1. Download the PSD composition below:

2. Import the W10_ANIMATE.psd into Adobe After Effects.
3. Create a composition setting 1080 px (Width) x 1920 px (Height), Duration 15 second
4. Create a keyframe animation to the layers using Position (P), Scale (S) & Masking path.
5. Render output: Quicktime (.MOV) or .MP4
6. Upload your exercise into your Youtube Channel.
7. Update your progress and video to your E-Portfolio blog.
8. Attach your E-Portfolio link on this Submission.
* Note: Due to ongoing Task 2, Mr.Fauzi has only tasked us with exploring rotation and scale tool
Process
Imported file into AE, set time to 15 secs as per requirement.
I first started with the fish, adding rotation and positioning using keyframes.
Using Mr. Fauzi's recomendation, I isolated layers before animating them.
I also used scale to make the fish pulse. I made sure the last key is the same as the first so the video can loop.
I then made the people bounce by making it go up and down quickly then copy pasted the keys.
Lastly, I animated both circles like gears by shifting it back 2 degrees every time it rotates 60 degrees.
