WEEK 12
Thumbnails:
Based on my script, I decided to work on the thumbnail first. I
did quick sketches on my sketchbook. I focused more on expressing
how I imagined the scenes happening in my head instead of the
aesthetic.

WEEK 13
Animatic:
I started a very messy animatic to map out the scenes, then
showed it to Mr. Kannan for feedback. He said to slow down
the timing of each scene then add clock ticking instead of
lighting to show passing of time, that way it can show time
without relying on just colour.
I used flipaclip on 2 fps to animate a low frame rate animatic.
Progress:
I completed my storyboard with the feedbacks included then
I moved on to complete the animatic.

WEEK 14
We presented our full animatic this week. My animatic was not
100% complete as I did not finish the ending and the sound
effects.
Feedback:
Mr Kannan said to emphasize the sound effect of peeling potato and to add some background music. However, put it last so the music won't overshadow the sound effects or voicelines as my animatic has dialogues.
Sound Design:
After the presentation, I focused on sound. I asked a
friend who is good at voice acting to help with voicing
Sully, as I struggle to shout at home for the voices.
I did regret at first that I added so many voice lines but
after completing it, The voices does help alot.
I first added all the voice-lines. I added denoise and hard limiter so that it sounds clean and won't get too loud
Then I added all the sound effects I got from freesound.org. However I ran into a problem with the group gossip scene. There was no free audio I could find that fits it. So I recorded myself 3 times talking to myself about random things then layered the audio, changing the pitch of the other 2. So it sounded like they're speaking together.
Afterwards I searched for classical music to use as background music. Since my animatic is set in the victorian era I wanted something to match the mood.
I finally decided on clair de lune. As it gives the melo dramatic feel but also calm. It was used for the introduction and the ending of the story.
For the climax and main problems in the story I needed something tense but also fun. I went with a music people are familiar with, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart. I think it went really well with the climax when i matched the timing of the situations.
