ARTIST STATEMENT: 

Everyone has something they like that makes up who they are so no matter what we do or love, we are still us! I am still me.

I love blue, the colour of my Blahajs, and the chilly evening sky.

I love cats and dogs, the found family I made along the way.

I love purple hyacinths, the poisonous yet forgiving flower.

I love England, where my favourite stories of mystery thrillers and crime take place.

All that and many more, frames up “me” as a person and that’s what I want to show.

REFLECTION

Working on a project with myself as the theme was something surprisingly hard. It was in a way putting myself out there naked. It made me ponder about what side of myself to show and what to not. I eventually chose to show the things I already openly share but it was still difficult to describe myself. It was a funny thing to do for me but I'm glad it turned out well. As for animating, I was really excited for that part and did use most of my time playing around in after effects. This project opened the door to AE for me and I hope to explore more in the future.
